The Worcester Boat Club was founded in 1888 on the storied waters of Lake Quinsigamond, ranked as one of the best rowing venues in North America. Here is a historic photo of the Worcester high school crew rowing out of the Worcester Boat Club on Lake Quinsigamond in 1899!
Did you row in high school or college but haven't been in a boat since? Concerned that you might not be physically fit or young enough to row? Many of our club members did not take up rowing until later in life, and one of the only regrets we hear is that they didn't take it up sooner. It's never too late to begin! This a low impact sport that you can participate in for a lifetime.
For advancing level rowers, we're excited to offer rowing clinics with elite coaches from around the US several times each year. We can't wait to see you at the boathouse!
Worcester Boat Club is associated with US Rowing, the governing body for the sport of rowing in the US.
